Recent work in animal studies, psychology and the neurosciences has greatly enhanced our understanding of the nature of ethics.  But what does this mean for our own decisions about how we ought to live?  Does it undermine traditional ideas about the objectivity of ethics?  Is there still a role for reason to play in ethics?  Peter Singer will discuss these and other questions as he explores the foundations for his own conclusions on a range of controversial ethical issues.
