Monash Communications Research Network
Communications, incorporating the related fields of Media Studies and Writing, is an emerging research strength in the Faculty of Arts and one of the fastest growing new research areas in Monash. Monash Communications Research Network (MCRN) associates are drawn from a diverse international staff located on every Monash campus where the flagship program is taught.
The Network includes researchers with a wide range of interests including: the documentation and evaluation of technological change and its political and social outcomes, media and cultural studies, textual studies, the study of audiences both as consumers and citizens, cross-cultural policy studies, theoretical and historical analyses of communications technologies and past and contemporary practices. Communications staff are also working on a number of collaborative interdisciplinary research projects.
