John Budarick

My PhD research focuses on media, communications and diaspora. Specifically I am researching the way in which Iranian Australians engage with media, both that produced by and for Iranians and Australian English language media. I seek to examine the role of media in the lives of Iranian Australians in terms of feelings of community and belonging in Australia. My other interests are cultural sociology, communications, media sociology and social theory.
