Community Newspapers Conference, Monash Gippsland Campus, - 19-20 Nov. 2004

On the 19th and 20th November 2004 Monash University Gippsland will host a community newspapers conference. The conference has two objects. The first aim is to discover whether there is sufficient support to establish a community newspaper association. The second aim is to provide community newspapers with information that will help their growth and development.

Congratualtions to Jude Deedman - 29/7/04

Congratulations to Jude Deedman, a final year Bachelor of Social Welfare, Distance Education student. Jude works at Kilmany Family Care in Sale and is the recipient of an award handed down by State Minister Cheryl Garbutt. The award is in recognition of the successful implementation of the "Looking After Children" (LAC) program across the State of Victoria. In 2003, while completing her 60 day field education placement, Jude was involved in the implementation of the LAC program, as one of the trainers who facilitated the training for all CSOs, DHS Child Protection staff, Resi-care workers and foster carers. The award is to attend the 6th International "Looking After Children Conference" in Canada.
