In the MA by coursework and research students can undertake postgraduate study in the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University in Melbourne. The coursework component is designed to explore theoretical issues and their application to students’ research topic, and to broaden and deepen students’ understanding of the discipline, thereby providing a fuller appreciation of the context in which the research project will be conceptualised. There is room for students to develop a thesis topic in an area that suits their own interests. Scholarships are available for academically strong local and international students (applications close at the end of October prior to year of study, and the course starts in February of each year).

Applicants for this program are required to submit a 1000-word research proposal. A research proposal should be discussed with the course co-ordinator in Italian Studies before enrolment (see contact details below).
