Monash Journalism staff: Elizabeth Hart

Elizabeth Hart has taught journalism at James Cook University and at Monash University, since 1999. Her industry experience is in regional press, where she has worked as a journalist, subeditor, and chief of staff at Star News Group. She was formerly a secondary school teacher of English and History. Elizabeth is president of the Community Newspaper Association of Victoria.

Elizabeth’s research interest is in the relationship between standards of journalism in the regional press and levels of formal education.
