Biography
After completing his journalism degree at the University of South Australia, Robert Carey was the communications director of the Catholic Church in Adelaide and editor of the monthly news magazine, SA catholic. He later worked in London as the production editor ofan international news weekly, The Tablet. Robert has also taught IT, English and English as a Second Language in both England and Australia. He has worked in Victoria as a sub-editor for the Star News Group and is currently doing research for a Masters in communications with the Institute for Social Research at Swinburne University. University subjects taught include Online Journalism, Basic Newsroom Theory and Practice, Editing for Print Media, Media Law and Journalism Ethics. He has been a lecturer and tutor at Monash University since 2006.
