Monash Journalism staff: Robert Carey
Robert Carey has been a lecturer and tutor at Monash University since 2006. He has taught Online Journalism, Basic Newsroom Theory and Practice, Editing for Print Media and Media Law. After completing his journalism degree at the University of South Australia, he was the communications director of the Catholic Church in Adelaide and editor of the monthly news magazine, SA catholic. Later, Robert worked in London for six years as the production editor of The Tablet, an international news weekly, before returning to Melbourne, his birth city. Robert has also taught IT, English and English as a Second Language in both England and Australia. In addition to his current university duties, Robert is a sub-editor at the Star News Group.
