Research Interests
- Korean Linguistics & Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language:
I am writing a book of Korean Grammar & Usage (as of January 2007).
- Translation Studies:
Especially looking at the translation of word order between English and Korean from the ‘Information Structure’ perspective.
- TELL (Technology-Enhanced Language Learning):
My work in TELL started with the creation of the Monash Korean web site in 1995 and I have developed many multimedia learning materials for the Web. My current interest is in using presentation software such as PowerPoint as a medium for reusable objects for language teaching and learning.
