Call for Papers
Presentations are sought from any higher degree by research (HDR) student studying some aspect of language use at any Victorian university. Students may present results from their research, or explore theoretical issues which have arisen in their studies. Presentations should last 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes discussion/question time.
Proposals from any area of linguistics will be considered, including:
- Semantics/pragmatics
- Second language learning
- Sociolinguistics
- Intercultural communication
- Language endangerment
- Language acquisition
- Applied linguistics
Those interested in presenting at this conference should send an abstract (around 250-300 words) via email attachment (Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format files) to Melanie Burns (Melanie.Burns@arts.monash.edu.au) by April 12th 2010. Notification of acceptance of proposals will be by April 16th 2010.
