How to Apply
When to Apply
Those applicants who wish to enrol in a 66% Masters degree are generally encouraged to apply for research candidature by the 31 October each year to start their programs the following year, as the program normally commences with the 24 pts of coursework.
Applicants for degrees by 100% research can apply and start their candidature at any time of the year.
Those candidates who wish to apply for a scholarship with their application for candidature must bear in mind the closing dates for scholarships and grants each year and time their submissions accordingly.
The First Step
Before lodging an application, candidates should complete and submit the on-line Pre-Application Form.

External PhD

(External PhD candidates shall be required to undertake the equivalent of 15 days of full-time study within the University each year.)
International Students
There are separate PhD and Masters application forms for international students. Application forms are available from the Monash International Office, the International Officer (Faculty of Arts), or from the web.

New applicants are charged a $A100.00 processing fee.
