Academic Background

My first degree was in philosophy and psychology. I then did a PhD on the neuroscience of vision, and a years post-doc doing colour psychophysics with Profs Burr and Morrone in Italy, before coming back to philosophy.

Research Interests

Philosophy of Neuroscience, Philosophy of Mind, Colour, Philosophy of Science.

I am currently working with Ian Gold on a philosophy of neuroscience project, 'The Epistemology of Colour' (ARC Discovery grant).

- this is a write up of some colour experiments that I did for a post doc at the Istituto di Neuroscienze, Pisa in 2004, to be submitted to Vision Research.
