Arts Special Consideration Information

If you are experiencing difficulties in completing assessment tasks, such as assignments or attending examinations, due to unforeseen circumstances, you may be eligible for special consideration.

You must formally apply for special consideration and must include evidence supporting your application.

It is also important that you contact your lecturer or tutor and tell them about your difficulties before you submit your application to the relevant faculty.

Outcomes of Special Consideration

Special Consideration can provide for:
  • an extension or revised submission date for an assessment task (over 3 days)
  • supplementary or additional assessment
  • revised date for a class test
  • deferred examination

It cannot result in any adjustments to your marks.

If you need an extension of 2 days or less for an assessment task, see Extension to Assessment Deadlines.
