This form includes a Research Proposal which allows us to match you effectively with potential supervisors within the School of Political and Social Inquiry. If supervision is available, candidates will be advised to submit a formal application.
Application Deadlines
Applicants who wish to apply for a Master of Arts by research and coursework (66% research) are encouraged to apply for candidature by May or November to allow commencement of their 24 pts of coursework in either first or second semester. From 2012, applicants completing a Master of Arts (100% research) or a PhD in the Social and Political Sciences will undertake a semester of coursework focused on research skills and methods at the beginning of their candidature. For this reason, we encourage a February or March starting date. Candidates wishing to commence at other periods of the year should contact Sue Stevenson to discuss. Scholarship applicants need to time their application submission with closing dates for scholarships each year (see Scholarships). Scholarships are very competitive: the information you provide on your inquiry form will assist us in ascertaining your eligibility and competitiveness.
