The Chinese Study Review (《中国研究评论》) is a scholarly publication of ATCTA(澳大利亚高校中文教师学会).

It aims to publish original and high-quality research reports and articles with in-depth analysis focusing on China from members and other researchers. It intends to cover a range of subjects including Chinese language teaching and research, literature, history, education, politics and cultural studies.

Regular columns provide book reviews and academic development and news of ATCTA members.

The Chinese Studies Review invites submission of original articles on China in all disciplines of the humanities and social sciences. All articles are refereed for acceptance. Literature reviews are invited. The Chinese Studies Review welcomes the submissions of manuscripts from scholars in Australia and abroad, including postgraduates, on all aspects of Chinese studies and from all points of view.

The views expressed in articles are those of individual authors and do not necessarily represent the views of ATCTA.

ATCTA editorial board reserves the right to publish /postpone /reject submitted articles.

Length, Style and Format

Please read this section carefully before you submit your contribution.

Articles should be submitted to the editor via e-mail or mail (see below for contact details of editors) in MS Word format. They should normally not exceed 5,000 words in length with footnotes at the end.

An author's brief information and a 100-150 words abstract in English or in Chinese should be provided for all submissions.

Please provide Chinese characters and Pinyin for all Chinese terms and proper nouns.

1. Citations

Books or articles cited in the manuscript should conform to the following:

All references should be listed in a bibliography at the end of the article. Endnotes, not footnotes, should be used.

2. Referred books in English

Author, title of the book; place of publication, publisher, date; page number(s).

3. Referred books in Chinese

Author, Chinese title of the book, (translation of title); place of publication, publisher, date; page number(s)

4. Referred articles in English

Author, title of the article; Journal title, Vol. number, issue number, Year of publication, page number(s)

5. Referred articles in Chinese

Author, Chinese title of the article, (translation of title); Chinese Journal title, (translation of journal title), Vol. number, issue number, Year of publication, page number(s)

6. Online publication

Author, name of ISP/ICP and details of website and access time.

Copyright

Submission of a manuscript is taken to imply that it has not previously been published in any form and that it is not currently being considered elsewhere.

It is a condition of publication in the The Chinese Studies Review that authors assign copyrights to the ATCTA. In assigning copyright, authors may use their own material in other publications provided that the The Chinese Studies Review is acknowledged as the original place of publication, and ATCTA is notified in writing and in advance.

Copying

This journal is registered with the Australian Copyright Centre.

Organizations may copy materials beyond the limits permitted by sections of Copyright Law subject to payment to ATCTA.

Permission should be sought from ATCTA for all other use.
