A research project headed by Prof. Margaret Kartomi ‘Acehnese Music’ which has been funded by the Australian Research Council, is offering one PhD scholarship.

Eligibility |
The scholarship is available to Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and international applicants. Applicants must have, or expect to shortly have, a masters by research degree (with H2A or H1 results or equivalent) in ethnomusicology, anthropology or sociology with an interest or experience in music. Applicant should have a speaking and reading knowledge of Indonesian language. Please contact Prof Margaret Kartomi at margaret.kartomi@arts.monash.edu.au with any queries about your eligibility. The PhD topic to be pursued will be shaped by the training and skills of the successful applicant. It will focus on some aspect of the music culture of Aceh. |
