Arts Research Activity on Monash Campuses
Arts researchers at all Monash campuses contribute to our vibrant research culture. This area highlights collaboration with our colleagues on the offshore campuses in Malaysia and South Africa and shows information on visits and activities.
Malaysia
The School of Arts & Sciences has been developing a strong research culture with success in engaging in national and international nulti-disciplinary research projects, disseminating research findings through international journals and publishing houses, winning competitive research grants and establishing higher degrees by research in 2006.
Research projects funded by competitive grants include the following:
- Dr Yeoh Seng Guan, Sidewalk capitalism: Being a street vendor in Baguio City, The Philippines, Asian Public Intellectual Fellowship supported by Nippon Foundation. Amount: US$20,000 Period: 2005-2006.
- Associate Professor Gil-Soo Han, Dr Patricia Goon, et al. Bridging the Digital Divide in Rural Agricultural & Fishing Communities in Malaysia, eScience-Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.Amount: RM228,840 Period: 2007-2008.
