About DoTS
What is DoTS?
The DoTS (Diploma of Tertiary Studies) is an alternative entry pathway that is equivalent to the first year of a university undergraduate (Bachelor) degree. The DoTS program is offered on-campus at Berwick, Gippsland and Peninsula and can be studied one year full-time or two years part-time.
Students complete six units in a stream of their choice combined with two units focused on effective university study skills, developing critical thinking skills, and exploring knowledge in higher education and professional contexts.
Successful completion of DoTS means you can apply for entry to some of Monash’s most popular Bachelor degrees across seven faculties and three campuses, and if successful will generally receive full credit to progress into second year.
Why DoTS?
- Enrolment in DoTS means you are a Monash student.
- You study units from your preferred Monash degree from day one.
- Excellent selection of streams (degree pathways) available.
- You develop study and learning skills for university success.
- You receive additional study support.
- A smooth transition to university study.
How DoTS works
As part of the application process you select a campus and a stream. For example, nursing at Peninsula, science at Gippsland, education at Berwick.
