Entry Requirements

Honours degree of Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences 

For admission into the Honours program, applicants must have completed all requirements at undergraduate degree level, and are required to have obtained average grades of 70 per cent or better in units in the chosen Honours area(s) of study, to the value of 24 points at second and third year levels, 18 points of which must be at third year level.

Entry to the program is subject to the recommendation of the relevant Section(s) and the final approval of the Coordinator of the Honours program.

Students may undertake a combined (interdisciplinary) Honours degree with the approval of both disciplines. In this case the student must meet the entry requirements for both disciplines.

Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Research)

For admission into the Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Research) program, applicants must have completed a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and have obtained at least average grades of 60 per cent or more in the major that corresponds to their desired field of study in the Postgraduate Diploma Arts (Research).  This average must have been obtained in units to the value of 24 points at second and third year levels, 18 points of which must be at third year level.
