The Monash Public Relations course, accredited by the PRIA, is designed to equip students with the relevant and necessary skills for the profession. Students will learn the rationale behind public relations practices, critically analyse case studies and learn practical skills such as giving effective oral presentations.
Monash graduates have gone on to become consultants and specialists in:

in business and non-business sectors such as:

PRIA Accredited Major
First-year level
Students studying for the Accredited Major must complete all three units (18 points) from the list below:
- Public relations writing
- Public relations principles and practice
- Media studies
Second/third-year level
Students must complete all three first-year level units (Public relations writing, Public relations principles and practice and Media studies) and six more units (36 points) from the list below:
- Publicity and promotion
- Crisis and risk communication
- Online public relations
- Public relations consulting
- Public relations campaigns
- Public relations internship
