Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Social Research
Start of year and mid-year intake available
This postgraduate course, offered full-time over two semesters or part-time over four semesters, provides intermediate level training in theoretical and practical skills about the processes involved in social research. It is specifically designed for those who will design, conduct and evaluate various social research projects. It is also intended to extend the skills of policy administrators who analyse research reports, formulate commissioned research projects and work together with staff researchers and/or outside consultants.
Most units in this course are taught at the centrally-located Caulfield campus. The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Social Research degree is usually completed in twelve months of full-time study or up to two years of part-time study. Students may exit the program with the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Social Research having successfully completed an approved 24 point program of two units of study, or continue to the Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Social Research by successfully completing an approved 48 point program of four units of study.
