Information about the Spanish Proficiency Placement Test

The test takes place every year in February for those students enrolled in first semester and in June for those enrolled in second semester.

The test assesses the four skills of the language. In the first section of the test students complete a reading comprehension exercise and in the second section students complete a listening and speaking exercise.

The test takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and students do not need to prepare in advance before sitting this test!  This is simply a test that determines students’ language abilities and gives us an indication as to the language level students should enrol in to maximise the progression of their language acquisition.
