Biography
After graduating from Shanxi University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1992, Yaqin had been involved in teaching English and Translation for 15 years. During her teaching career, she never stops her study. She went to Nankai University for postgraduate study in 1995. While in China, Yaqin was active in attending academic conferences and symposiums and got chance to present her papers at two international conferences.
While working as a lecturer, she was also invited by companies and government organizations to provide interpreting and translation services.
In 2006, Yaqin came to Australia and has added a Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies to her qualifications. She is now working with School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University. With her NAATI accreditation as professional translator and interpreter, she has been involved in many interpreting and translation practices.
